Beausoleil is a quiet secluded lake set in the gentle rolling countryside of the Bretagne region of Northwest France, about one and a half hours drive from the port of St.Malo.

The fishing for carp and catfish as with the other coarse fish is second to none.

You and your party (maximum 4 people) will have exclusive use of the private lake and house, and once you have closed the gates it really is a different world.

The estate type lake itself is set in 6 acres of lovely managed grounds and boasts a fantastic variety of wildlife including kingfishers and red squirrels which abound on the island and around the lake itself.

The 4 acre lake has depths from 2-6 feet with the weedy shallows being spanned by a wooden footbridge over to the shady tree covered island.

Etang Beausoleil is brimming with large carp and catfish and many specimen coarse fish as well.

It boasts around ten 40lb plus carp with the current best at 45lb, with approximately 50 carp over the 30lb barrier and to top this off it also holds over 200 20lb plus carp.

If that is not enough, there are also grass carp to 35lb, bighead carp to 70lb and 50 Catfish to 70lb, plus numerous sturgeon to 25lb.

With a swim right in front of the house and others all around the lake it provides the perfect place for you and your party to fish in comfort, or if necessary move to where the fish are showing. The weedy shallows at the top end of the lake are the ideal place for a little early morning or late evening stalking or fishing off the top.
